TRIP DESCRIPTION

The SOMIEDO TOUR route takes you through the Somiedo and Babia Natural Parks.

The Trail takes place in 2 stages each one more impressive and spectacular for its beauty: a landscape of imposing mountains, lush forests, crystal-clear rivers, and meadows where the Asturiana de los Valles cows graze freely. All this makes each stage a true spectacle for the eyes and the senses.

The overnight stay is in 1 hotel in the town of Valle del Lago where we will be able to regain our strength after a day of trail running.

ROUTE

Day 1: TORRESTIO-LAKE VALLEY

start of the 1st STAGE.

The day begins in the charming village of Torrestío, surrounded by imposing mountains and pure air. From here, the ascent towards the heights begins, enjoying panoramic views that will take our breath away. The highlight of this stage is the impressive Laguna de Valle del Lago, a mirror of crystal-clear water surrounded by snow-capped peaks and green meadows. Here we will take a moment to admire its beauty and recharge our batteries during the night.

Distance: 29.7 km | Elevation: +1200m/-1400m

 

Day 2: LAKE VALLEY-TORRESTIO

Start of the 2nd STAGE.

After a restful night's sleep in a cozy hotel in Valle del Lago, we resume the route with renewed energy. We begin the return route towards Torrestío, temporarily saying goodbye to Valle del Lago but taking with us the memories of its unparalleled beauty. Finally, we arrive at Torrestío, the starting point of your journey, with the satisfaction of having completed another stage of this exciting trip through the amazing landscapes of Asturias.

What does the price include?

  • Planning and preparing the route and monitoring the weather and terrain conditions before and during its implementation
  • Registration management and advice before the route
  • The route is carried out in guided mode with 1 qualified mountain guide specialized in trail running.
  • Accommodation in a hotel in a shared room (+20€ individual) modality Average Pension (accommodation, dinner, breakfast).
  • Liability and Accident Insurance

What is NOT included in the price?

  • Transfer to the starting point of the Route. (we will try to share cars from Madrid)
  • Food and drink not included in the contracted Half Board.
  • Friday night (hostel night-dinner-breakfast option for 55 euros in Torrebarrio, 5 minutes from the departure point)
